Employer FAQ

Is it really free? What’s the catch?
Yes – our services are free! We receive our funding from the Government of Canada to provide this service to all employers in Ontario and British Columbia. There’s no catch! We just ask that you provide us with timely responses and show a commitment to making real change within your company.
Is there a lot of paperwork?
Not at all. There are 4 main pieces of paperwork, but we complete 3/4 of these items with you. The final piece of paperwork is a voluntary and anonymous program evaluation.
So you’re a recruiter/job developer?
ACAP does not provide job placements. However, we will connect you with job developers and recruiters that are working towards increasing immigrant employment in our communities.
Do you provide job placement services?
Although we are not a placement agency, we do offer 1-on-1 consultations to help Employers better connect with internationally trained professionals.
What makes you different from the other organizations offering similar services?
Just think of us as your free HR Consultants. All of our services are tailor made to your business needs and we work around your busy schedule to provide one-on-one consultations. 
What if I’m not hiring right now? Or, what if I don’t have any employees yet?
We encourage employers who are not at the hiring stage to get in touch with us so that we can help you create a framework to use when the time is right. We believe in embedding fair, bias-free, and inclusive practices into the foundation of your company. This approach is perfect for a start up company with no employees or a company with a small number of employees. For employers who currently have employees but are not hiring, we can look into services in the Develop and Retain domains.
